Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a condition where an individual finds it difficult to stay focus on a task. Vitamin B6 increases alertness.  Zinc is used to reduce ADHD behaviour.  Multivitamins also has shown positive results in reducing ADHD behaviour.

3 – Natural Remedies

* Pycnogenol (extract of pine tree bark) improves the attention span.

* Green Oats (Avina Sativa), Ginseng, and Brahmi improves attention, increase blood flow to the brain, and relieves stress.

* Ginkgo Biloba enhances brain activity and allows the brain to focus thus negating the effects of ADHD.  A minor side effect is headache.

* Skullcap (Scuttellaria laterifolia) helps to soothe the nervous system which allows ADHD sufferers to have better focus on their tasks.

* Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) helps to relax and calms the brain.  This allows ADHD sufferers to be more attentive and focus.

* Gotu Kola (Centella Asiatica) increases concentration and attention span after using for 12 weeks.

4 – Aural Visual Stimulation

Using a process called “Entrainment”, audio video stimulation is used to alter the brainwave patterns.  This process has not reached the mainstream in terms of ADHD treatment, but studies has shown a very high successful rate.  The treatment is very expensive so check with your insurance company for coverage.
